Illuminatus Album Launch

Posted by DJ Gilgamoth in Untagged

As some of you are aware, I've been playing music by a new band called Illuminatus in my show. Well I was privileged enough to get a VIP ticket to their debut album launch party last Saturday evening ahead of the albums world wide launch on the 19th May.

The event was held at Junktion7 in Nottingham and it was certainly good fun. The venue was packed to the seams, even on a hot muggy night like it was.

Julio, Jon, Felix and Leo played their hearts out to the wild cheers and applause from the assembled crowd and they played their way through the entire album. To cries of encore, they then thrilled the crowd with three brand new songs.

Rolling out of the club at just after midnight to a wave of warm air seemed to make the evening all the more perfect.

Illuminatus' album can be purchased from Amazon UK and Amazon US as of 19th May, but if you can't wait that long, join DJ Gilgamoth this Friday (16th May) at 7pm GMT for a full play of the album.

Regards,

Gil

I-33 Here We Come

Posted by DJ Gilgamoth in Untagged

This weekend, Newbury Race course hosts Multiplay's latest I-Series, I-33. The I-Series is a LAN Gaming event, the largest in the UK with 1580 gamers expected to attend this latest incarnation.

Whilst not as big as Sweden's Dream Hack (some 10,500 gamers) it's quite an event, pulling in support from big names such as EA, Intel, AMD, THQ, Ubisoft and Activision.

Previous events have seen the qualifiers for the World Cyber Games, and Sierra giving a preview of World in Conflict.

This time, the Frag Dolls are aiming for a Guiness World Record for the "the longest continuous play of an FPS".

Aqua-PC's are even demoing extreme cooling capabilities with Liquid Nitrogen.

EUR will be there and represented by Dante and Gilgamoth, with a hope of Dante's show coming live from there on Sunday (fingers crossed).

You can come along as a spectator for £10 a day and see all the exhibitions, or you can pay £30 for the weekend and use one of the Turn Up and Play PC's provided by Packard Bell.

 See You

ZOMG WTF?

Posted by DJ Gilgamoth in Untagged

Well I got an urgent message from Xeserox today that the website wasn't working so when I got home I finally managed to take a look at the website and found it had been hacked and hijacked.

After a good couple of hours, I managed to clear out all of the crap left behind and I think we're stable now.

Take care

Gilgamoth's Requester Goes Live

Posted by DJ Gilgamoth in requesterGilgamothEUR

Yep, after a bit of a long development schedule, I've finally finished my requester.

Why did it take so long? Well I had to re-write it from scratch because the one that comes with SAM, doesn't do what I wanted it to. The requester that comes with SAM (the application the DJ's use) needs SAM to be running to accept the requests, where as mine does not, so it allows people to request song to be played on my show all through the week. Cool Eh?

It's not finished yet, but it works, so head over to http://gilgamoth.edenunderground.com go to the playlist & requests section and request your fave songs.

Don't forget to fill in your name and a brief message so I can say Hi on air.

Regards,

Gil

I'm a Star!

Posted by DJ Gilgamoth in GilgamothEvEEURDJs

Well last night was my 4th show, having missed last weeks due to being unwell and I'm really enjoying it and getting really good feed back from the listeners.

I just wanted to let you know about a new website I'm designing similar to Xerserox's Auto Play site that allows you to view my play list and (in future) post requests that will get played through during my show.

It still needs some work (the requester isn't there and neither are the podcasts), but you can see back to what I've played during each show. It can be accessed at http://eur.gilgamoth.is-a-geek.net . Please give me any feed back through the forums or via my e-mail address gilgamoth (at) edenunderground (dot) com

Oh and I'm hoping to have a radio exclusive in the near future, so watch this space.

ZOMG The Nerves!

Posted by DJ Gilgamoth in EUR

Well, it's about 6 hours until I do my first show and I'm teetering between excitement and a gibbering bag of nerves.

What if the stream doesn't work? What if no-one likes what I play? What if? ... What if?

If I smoked, I'd have gone though a packet or two by now...

Ah well only tonight will tell so please be gentle ...

Regards,

Gil
