Illuminatus Album Launch

As some of you are aware, I've been playing music by a new band called Illuminatus in my show. Well I was privileged enough to get a VIP ticket to their debut album launch party last Saturday evening ahead of the albums world wide launch on the 19th May.
The event was held at Junktion7 in Nottingham and it was certainly good fun. The venue was packed to the seams, even on a hot muggy night like it was.

Julio, Jon, Felix and Leo played their hearts out to the wild cheers and applause from [...]

I-33 Here We Come

This weekend, Newbury Race course hosts Multiplay's latest I-Series, I-33. The I-Series is a LAN Gaming event, the largest in the UK with 1580 gamers expected to attend this latest incarnation.

Whilst not as big as Sweden's Dream Hack (some 10,500 gamers) it's quite an event, pulling in support from big names such as EA, Intel, AMD, THQ, Ubisoft and Activision.

Previous events have seen the qualifiers for the World Cyber Games, and Sierra giving a preview of World in Conflict.
[...]

ZOMG WTF?

Well I got an urgent message from Xeserox today that the website wasn't working so when I got home I finally managed to take a look at the website and found it had been hacked and hijacked.

After a good couple of hours, I managed to clear out all of the crap left behind and I think we're stable now.

Take care

Gilgamoth (Resident Code Monkay)

Gilgamoth's Requester Goes Live

Yep, after a bit of a long development schedule, I've finally finished my requester.

Why did it take so long? Well I had to re-write it from scratch because the one that comes with SAM, doesn't do what I wanted it to. The requester that comes with SAM (the application the DJ's use) needs SAM to be running to accept the requests, where as mine does not, so it allows people to request song to be played on my show all through the week. Cool Eh?

It's not finished yet [...]

I'm a Star!

Well last night was my 4th show, having missed last weeks due to being unwell and I'm really enjoying it and getting really good feed back from the listeners.

I just wanted to let you know about a new website I'm designing similar to Xerserox's Auto Play site that allows you to view my play list and (in future) post requests that will get played through during my show.

It still needs some work (the requester isn't there and neither are the podcasts), but you can se [...]

ZOMG The Nerves!

Well, it's about 6 hours until I do my first show and I'm teetering between excitement and a gibbering bag of nerves.

What if the stream doesn't work? What if no-one likes what I play? What if? ... What if?

If I smoked, I'd have gone though a packet or two by now...

Ah well only tonight will tell so please be gentle ...

Regards,

Gil
