Assassin's Creed is a game that takes you back in time, to a place that we all have read about. 1191 the Third Crusade. You play as the assassins Altiar, and you prey are the Templar Knights and you blend in to the broad daylight rather than the shadows in this thrill ride, to the very end.
Before I decided to write this review, I wanted to completely beat the game. That's why it has taken me so long to get this review for it out to you. I wanted to so this review the justice that it deserved, because I know i could have written it when i was halfway through the game going crazy about it. Well I won't and I will do my best not to spoil it. (yeah there might be a spoiler or two.) First off, I need to talk about the graphics of this game. They are unreal and very impressive. If you ever wanted to know what 12th century Acre, Jerusalem, or Damascus looked like, here is you chance. They did a very good job with working on the shadows for the game as well. The shadows and weather effects really put this game over the time. Also, the other characters in the game have a real human feel to it. When you are walking through hordes of people, you feel you are. There are some interesting graphics "flaws" that can appear from time to time on the 360. One of those is artifacting on some of the human characters, but it's really not. Now I know that just made little to no sense, but since they are using shadows as much as they do in this game, some times it may seem there is artifacting going on when it's really a shadow not hitting the surface correctly. With how graphically advanced this game is for a console system, you can live with it. The PC version of the game DOES NOT have this problem at all... if you have a system that can run it. I like how this game has a unqiue story line to it and how they impliment a whole new idea behind Ancestry.

but i do have to agree its aggitating looking for all those flags, took me several hours to find all of the flags between each city but the ones in the cities were actually easier to predict. I really dont think people will get the PC version, too many 360 owners there that want to run it on their new age consoles instead. report abuse

I just started this last night (yes on the PC as I don't own a 360 or PS3) and I was hooked. Yes my P4D and 6600 GS can't handle the GFX on high, but even with the detail turned down, it's still a beautiful game to play. I didn't intend playing for so long last night, but it was three hours before I managed to drag myself away.

Here are my thoughts and my review of the game.
Alot of those places still look the same as they did back in the C12th ;)
I do really like the game, the look of it etc. And I like how you aren't just assassinating people. There's the modern day story going on plus collecting those annoying flags. :) This morning I think I spent an hour not killing anybody but just trying to find some flags lol
