Queen Adreena - Cold Fish From their first album Taxidermy. www.queenadreena.com Lead singer Katie Jane Garside, the spirited, lovely and slightly disturbing. With guitarist Crispin Gray, who is a great guitarist but one who often becomes Katie's punch bag on stage. Have worked on and off together for many years. Famously known for being together in kooky punk/rock band Daisy Chainsaw. With their hit album Eleventeen (1992). It's quite amazing to see the tall, slender and skimpily dressed Katie Jane desperately trying to balance herself tipsy in her heels. Grab, kick, pull and throw the equally slender Crispin who struggles against her coz he's so intent on playing his guitar. Since Taxidermy they have released two other albums. Drink Me (2002) and The Butcher and the Butterfly released last year. This year see's Katie doing her own thing with the solo release of Lalleshwari and something else called Ruby Throat. She also has a sister called Melanie Garside whose also a musician but the two sister's sound worlds apart. Ages ago I acquired a copy of an album of her's but have since lost it somehow. But it honestly wasn't my cup of tea, so no big loss. Not that it was bad musically, in fact it was really good for the style of music that it was. Very cheerful, mellow, hippie and easy going. You can see why I lost track of it!
